In the South of France there is an area that is full of charm, history and a unique culture.
Join me, Lorraine d'Entremont Rawls, an independent curator, author, and film maker, for a cultural and fun adventure into the heart of wild Provence, the Camargue and beyond.
Step into a tableau of Roman ruins, white horses, black bulls and pink flamingos. We will visit quaint villages, taste the fabulous Côte du Rhône wine and visit a private working ranch where cowboys, called gardians still work the cattle.
We will enjoy the music of Gypsies, marvel at folkloric dancers and sample the amazing regional cuisine that Provence has to offer.
I have been doing field work in the Camargue since 2002, establishing a traveling exhibition, writing the book, “Wild Provence” and filming the documentary, “Gardian Nation”. Along the way I have made wonderful lasting friendships. I would love to be able to share what I have learned with you. My connections allow us to follow a uniquely crafted itinerary with special access that encourages you to interact with the local people.
If you want to put your own group together, I can also tailor an itinerary just for you. You will have the advantage of traveling with an expert who can put together a trip that incorporates your personal style and interests with local character.
My tours are truly small group travel. Because we go to such special places, I keep the group at 7 adventurous individuals. We are there to relax into this special culture, past and present.
This is truly out of the ordinary mindful travel. Experience the uncommon side of Provence, the Camargue and beyond.
